Wal-Mart Flow Pro, Airtech, Aloha Breeze & Comfort Essentials Electric Heater Recall Issued By Wal-Mart Over Fire & Burn Hazard

Wal-Mart Recalls 2.2 Million Flow Pro, Airtech, Aloha Breeze & Comfort Essentials Electric Heaters Over Potential Risk of Fire & Burn Hazard.

A heating & HVAC recall has been issued by  Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (“Wal-Mart Stores” or “Wal-Mart” or “Walmart”) recalling 2.2 million Flow Pro, Airtech, Aloha Breeze & Comfort Essentials 1500 Watt Electric Heaters  (grey with a metal handle on the top with vents and grey control knobs on the front with model number 1013) sold at Walmart stores nationwide from December 2001 through October 2009 for about $18, reportedly because the recalled Wal-Mart heaters can malfunction resulting in overheating, smoking, burning, melting and fire, according to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) electric heater recall news report.

Wal-Mart reportedly received several reports of property damage beyond the heater, a few reports of injuries requiring medical attention for minor burns and smoke inhalation,  and reports of smoke irratation and sparking.

Consumers are reportedly being asked to stop using the recalled Wal-Mart Flow Pro, Airtech, Aloha Breeze & Comfort Essentials 1500 Watt Electric Heaters and return the recalled heater to any Wal-Mart store for a full refund.
