A motor vehicle recall has been issued by BMW of North America, LLC (“BMW of North America” or “BMW”) recalling 20,800 model year 2008 BMW X5 SAV vehicles with 6 cylinder engines manufactured from November 1, 2007 through August 31, 2008 reportedly because the BMW X5 SAV fuel pump commutator can malfunction causing an increase in wear and which could potentially lead to engine stalling and a crash resulting in injury or death, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety (“NHTSA”) automobile, car and motor vehicle recall news report.
