Britax Recalls More Than 17,000 Britax Chaperone Infant Child Safety Car Seat & Restraint Systems Over Risk of Chest Clip Skin Laceration & Choking Hazard

A child safety car seat recall has been issued by Britax Child Safety, Inc. (“Britax Child Safety” or “Britax”) recalling 17251 Britax Chaperone Infant Child Safety seats (model E9L69N9 Moonstone, E9L69P2 Red mill, E9L69P3 Savannah, and E9L69P5 Cowmooflage) reportedly because the chest clip which positions the harness straps across the infant’s shoulders may break when the chest clip is engaged as the infant is secured into the infant car seat, potentially leading to skin lacerations and choking hazards, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (“NHTSA”) child safety car seat recall news report.

Under the Britax Chaperone infant child car seat safety recall, Britax will reportedly mail remedy kits to consumers containing replacement chest clips to replace the recalled Britax Chaperone Infant Child Safety seat chest clips.
