American Honda Motor Recalls More Than 471,000 Model Year 2005, 2006 & 2007 Honda Odyssey’s & 2005, 2006, & 2007 Acura RLs Over Brake Fluid Leaks.
A recall has been issued by American Honda Motor Co. (“American Honda Motor” or “Honda”) recalling 471,820 model year 2005, 2006 & 2007 Honda Odysseys and model year 2005, 2006 & 2007 Acura RLs reportedly because a part of the rubber seal located at the rear of the brake master cylinder may become dry and curl during the movement of the piston if replacement brake fluid is used in the vehicles that does not contain sufficient polymers, potentially causing a slow leak from the seal into the brake booster, degrading braking performance and increasing risk of crash, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (“NHTSA”) automobile, car and motor vehicle recall news report.
Under the American Honda Motor Honda Odyssey and Acura RL safety recall, car dealers will reportedly replace the vehicle’s brake master cylinder rubber seal, free of charge.
