Nissan North America Recalls 13,737 Nissan Sentra Model Year 2010 and 2011 Vehicles Due To Machining Irregularity In Bolt & Washer Surface On Positive Battery Terminal Cable End.
A Nissan Sentra motor vehicle recall has been issued by Nissan North America, Inc. (“Nissan North America” or “Nissan”) recalling 13,737 model year 2010 and 2011 Nissan Sentra vehicles due to a machining irregularity in bolt washer surface on the positive battery terminal cable end that may allow for a gap to occur in the area of the terminal which can result in a voltage drop that could cause difficulties starting the vehicle, could damage the Nissan Sentra’s engine control module and can cause the engine to stop running while the Nissan Sentra is in motion at a low speed with a difficult or no start increasing the risk of a car crash, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety (“NHTSA”) automobile, car and motor vehicle recall news report.
The 2010 and 2011 Nissan Sentra battery terminal cable recall reportedly provides that dealers will replace the recalled positive battery terminal cable end with a new one free of charge.
