Oriental Trading Company Ceramic Piggy Bank & Lion Bank Recall Issued By The Oriental Trading Company Over Lead Paint

Oriental Trading Company Recalls 220,000 Ceramic Piggy and Lion Banks Over Alleged Violation Of Lead Paint Standard.

A piggy bank toy recall has been issued by Oriental Trading Company, Inc. (“Oriental Trading Company”) recalling 220,000 Oriental Trading Company ceramic piggy and lion banks sold online at www.orientaltrading.com and www.funexpress.com and through Oriental Trading Company and Fun Express catalogs from February 2003 through September 2010 for between about $7 and $20 a dozen, reportedly because the yellow surface paint on the banks contains excessive levels of lead which is prohibited under federal law, according to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) children’s piggy bank toy recall news report.

Consumers are reportedly being asked to take the recalled Oriental Trading Company ceramic piggy and lion banks away from children or kids, throw them out and to contact Oriental Trading for information on how to receive a refund or credit.
