2010 Year HSS Ultra-Lite Hunter Safety System Carabiner Recall Issued By Hunter Safety System Over Detaching Carabiner Pins

Hunter Safety System Recalls 16,000 2010 Year HSS Ultra-Lite Hunter Safety System Carabiners With the HSS-300 Ultra-Lite Full Body Climbing Safety Harness.

A carabiner recall has been issued by Hunter Safety System (“Hunter Safety System“) recalling 16,000 2010 Year HSS Ultra-Lite Hunter Safety System Carabiners (stamped with “CB20101″) supplied with the HSS-300 Ultra-Lite full body climbing safety harness sold at outdoor hunting retailers and directly from the company via telephone and Hunter Safety System‘s website at www.huntersafetysystem.com from June 2010 through September 2010 for about $100, reportedly because pins in the carabiners can detach, causing a climbing strap to break free from the safety harness and can result in the climber falling, according to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) outdoor & sporting good recall news report.
