Meijer Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heater Recall Issued By Meijer Over Potential Fire Hazard

Meijer Recalls 6,700 Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters Over Potential Risk of Fire.

A heating & HVAC recall has been issued by Meijer (“Meijer”) recalling 6,700 Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters (grey or silver oscillating ceramic heaters with model number PTC-902 and serial numbers between 35005-43008) manufactured by Ningbo Dongji Electronic Tech Co. LTC and sold at Meijer stores in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio from October 2009 through October 2010 for about $25, reportedly because the oscillating mechanism in the recalled Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters can short out, posing a fire hazard to consumers, according to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) heating & air conditioning HVAC recall news report.

Consumers are reportedly being asked to stop using the recalled Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters and return the recalled Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters to the nearest Meijer retail store for a full refund of the purchase price.
