QVC Cast Iron Skillet Recall Issued By QVC Over Burn Hazard

QVC Recalls 7,500 Enamel-coated 8-inch Cast Iron Skillets Due To Burn Hazard.

A cast iron skillet recall has been issued by QVC (“QVC”) recalling 7,500 enamel-coated 8-inch cast iron skillets manufactured by Meyer Trading Company Limited (“Meyer”) and sold by QVC through QVC’s televised shopping programs, at qvc.com, and QVC retail and employee stores from August 2009 through September 2010 for between $28 and $35 reportedly because small pieces of the enamel coating on the recalled QVC cast iron skillets can pop off when the skillet is heated, posing a burn hazard to consumers, according to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) cast iron skillet recall news report.

There have reportedly been two reports of consumers receiving minor burns in connection with enamel popping off of the recalled skillets.

Consumers are reportedly being asked to stop using the recalled QVC cast iron skillets and to return the skillets to any QVC store for a full refund.
